First, when working from home you must immediately establish the time and attention you’ll need to devote to your business and then follow that schedule as you did when you worked a regular job. Remember this is YOUR business and nothing gets done unless YOU do it. If you don’t follow the scheduled work hours, you are really just cheating yourself.


You can count on there being distractions when working your business from home. You have to avoid distractions and activities that waste time, such as:


• Friends visiting unannounced.
• Personal phone calls. A separate phone for your business would help.
• Neighbors calling or dropping by without notice
• Personal errands
• Family disturbances unless they’re emergencies; matter of life and death


Next, you’ll need to set up an office in an extra room of your home to be completely dedicated to your work. This will help to keep a working frame of mind and minimize disturbances. A separate work space or office will also help you stay better organized.


When working, avoid the temptation to watch your favorite TV program, listening to stereo music for relaxation (remember, you are working). Just as important to avoid is surfing the Internet for whatever, during working hours.


Again, as I mentioned before about surfing, your only need to access this during work hours should be limited to work related issues. In fact it is recommended that you establish a separate work related e-mail address and develop the habit of checking your e-mail just twice a day to better manage your time.


Now it should be clear to you that managing a profitable home based business< requires self-discipline. There are no shortcuts. Control the temptations to lose focus on your objective; building a profitable home based business on the Internet.

Starting a home based business for financial security and freedom is the best option during this worldwide economic crisis. But don’t rush into it. Many home-based businesses are started on a part-time basis and then expand into full-time businesses as the market for the business develops and grows. A very interesting fact: A recent study indicates that most home-based businesses today are started by women and typically employ other family members. You should realize that you need the full support of spouse, children, friends and associates. Most important, they need to take you and your home based business seriously if you are to succeed. Do not let anyone distract you from you goal of seeking financial independence. Keep your eye on the prize at the end of the tunnel.


For those individuals that have read the stories, have heard the TV reports; nostalgia and things past are a growing phenomenon.
