Very few Networks are growing and very few companies can demonstrate a successful track record domestically after their first 3 years of initial growth.

Seasoned Networkers usually only get approached by two kinds of people. Other seasoned Networkers or the aggressive sales type of person. We dont normally pay much attention to these drivers as they do not build relationships and have little long term success unless they change their focus of building a home based business. Seasoned Networkers approach others with integrity and honesty and avoid hype and sales techniques per se. They will normally state their purpose for calling quickly and are normally very respectful. They are interested to see if you keep your options open.

I have learned that if you are open about sharing ideas, strategies and tips etc., on how to create a long term residual income, then more times than not, people are open to having a conversation. They fully understand that quality people take their time and want to get to know a person. People buy who we are before they buy what we have. The fortune is in the follow up! Veterans are not going to jump into something without a ton of research. Our objective is to fill our funnels with many of these kinds of people and stay in touch regularly building our relationship and getting to know them and what their needs are.

Most Newcomers are going to think to themselves Why would a seasoned veteran get involved with me in my home based business? This is how Newcomers think and the main reason so very few will do this activity unless they are properly trained and confident in the system as they work towards building a residual income.

This is where you will stand out from the crowd because you are using professional techniques that normally only the seasoned veterans know in terms of developing a home based business. We must never try to fake it until we make it and be something we are not. This will just not work and is wrong anyhow. A true professional doesnt really care about where a person is at in their progress; they care about the character of the person in reality. Newcomers can be very comfortable with the fact that they are new and that they rely on the system, tools and coaching of their support team to handle the more in-depth process with these kinds of veterans. Our job is simply to meet people, get to know them and see if they are the kind of person that we wish to work with and be friends with. Over time, perhaps a few will want to venture into our home based business and build a residual income.

Veterans will have preconceived ideas about ABC Company and because of the evolution of our industry this may create some objections initially. Dont be afraid of objections as it gives us a chance for further communication and understanding. Our job is to share the facts because the facts are good enough. This is why so many veterans have joined the company over the past few years. People just like all of us who are building a peaceful residual income.

Patience is the key while people learn the facts and see how the big picture relates to their needs.

Attracting leaders like this comes down to your people handling skills in reality. Can you meet people and become friends? Professional Networkers will never turn down a chance to get to know another Networker from another home based business. Why would they? Some of the nicest people you will ever meet are experienced Networkers. That goes against everything we are doing. So why be afraid to call one? This is really self-image stuff going on here. Why would anybody lack the confidence to meet nice people and get to know each other and even help each other out in their respective home based business?

The real dream of every Networker is to build a peaceful residual income! That is what they have been working their home based business towards. The fortune is in the follow up and your ability to build a solid relationship. This means showing respect, listening for understanding, not reacting and just being in service. If you made 25 new friends of professional Networkers and stay in touch you will attract some into your home based business over time. Its already happening all over.

Then there is the personal growth material and the daily success habits we have at our home based business team. Veteran Networkers are much more aware than the average person just how critical this is for people in a Network if they want to build a successful residual income. The track record of Networks that supplied proper and effective personal growth material regularly is much better than those that havent. Everyday, people all across the globe are looking for ways to start a home based business to make some extra money. Are you thinking about having a home based business opportunity? Do you even know what it takes to develop a successful business? Those are important questions you need to consider prior to starting any home based business opportunity. It all starts with having the proper mindset. Think about the statement for minute. Having the proper mindset, plus knowing what you need to do to develop a business are key ingredients to being successful. One way to organize yourself is develop and create a business plan to decide how you will build your home business with short and long term goals in mind.

Many home based business opportunities are connected to an Network Marketing company, or MLM. Once you agree to the terms of the company and sign on the dotted line, you become a distributor for the product or service. You are not an employee of the company and this is usually made quite clear. You have become the owner of your own home based business opportunity. Welcome to free enterprise. Now where should you really begin just prior to making that final step and actually signing up to be a distributor?

Have you every looked at an opportunity and before really analyzing the business and doing some research, you signed up because your friend is involved? Hey, I know I did it a couple of times. Although most of the MLM companies are certainly legitimate, I am sure you are aware that there are also many that are just crap companies. Look for all the information you can about the particular company. Do a Google search on each company.

How do you actually evaluate a home business? What do you look for in a particular company in your efforts to start a home based business opportunity? There are a few things that you want to avoid and a few things that you should be looking for. Choose a company that has products you have an interest in. Don’t get involved in something that you will not enjoy. You might as well keep your day job. There is no sense in starting an online business so you can work from home and hate it. For example, I prefer the health and wellness field only because of the number of baby boomers retiring on a daily basis and continuing for the next 15 plus years. Plus the fact, nutritional products are consumed every month, resulting in people ordering each month. Hence, you have residual income.

I have always maintained that it is better to go with established companies versus start ups. The reason is simple and straightforward. Choosing a company that has been around for a few years is less risky. Hey, if you are going to put your time and effort into a company, then at least you want to know its going to be around for the long term - right? Somewhere between three and five years is a good amount of time. Each day there are more and more companies being formed that are looking for those eager to work from home. The only problem with these new companies is that they have not yet been established and the Internet is a very competitive place. With so many choices, why would you chance it on a start up. Ya, I know you heard about the ground floor opportunity. But really, if the business is solid, waiting a couple of years, means it should be better in that time.

Getting back to starting off with a business plan. You need to put it on paper and decide how you will develop your Home Based Business. Consider both the short term and long term goals of what you want to accomplish. Typically, most businesses won’t make money in MLM, but the few that do, takes anywhere from 3 to 5 years if you are serious about your home business. If you believe that you can make money out of the starting block, forget it. Look at your business as a long term investment. You can have both short and long term goals. There’s nothing wrong with that, but understand it usually takes years to accomplish success.

Have you even considered having a budget? Well, how do yo plan to pay for everything? You may have to do some advertising. That will cost money. To help with your business you may decide to purchase any one of the numerous marketing programs that are available on the Internet. That will cost money, usually in the form of a monthly fee. Give serious consideration to these types of programs and be sure you understand what you are buying. Some are just a waste of your money. Try to set up a budget for twelve months. Include all the expenditures that you can think of. I noticed many MLM companies have their own internal marketing programs as additional expenses.

In conclusion, I have outlined some simple and straight forward steps that you can do to ensure you have a fighting chance with your new home based business opportunity. It will not be easy and you will be working typically for a few years before seeing any significant gains. Sure you might make a few hundred extra dollars a month in the first year, but that’s not really what you want out of it - is it? I am looking for a full time, walkway income from the Job. Have the proper mindset, write up a business plan that you can live with, research the company and then its time to take action. Success comes to those that are willing to work for it. There are no free rides.
